Johnny Depp must have had a good time at the 2011Kids' Choice Awards. Attending the show on Saturday, April 2, the big Hollywood actor grabbed the first award presented that night; Favorite Movie Actor which he won through his role in "Alice in Wonderland".
Depp admitted it was "truly a pleasure to receive this award that comes from you guys. I appreciate it." After finishing his speech, he slimed the audience in front of the stage with green mess.
"The Karate Kid" won big, taking the coveted Favorite Movie kudo. It took home another gong for Favorite Butt Kicker which was given to Jaden Smith's on-screen mentor Jackie Chan.
The final award that night went to Miley Cyrus for Favorite Movie Actress. She thanked her "The Last Song" co-star as well as real-life on- and off- beau Liam Hemsworth for "helping me make movie magic".
Eddie Murphy got Favorite Voice From an Animated Movie prize for voicing Donkey in "Shrek Forever After". He accepted the kudo as a gift on his 50th birthday, and asked audience to serenade him a Happy Birthday. The fourth installment of "Shrek" series, however, lost to "Despicable Me" in Favorite Animated Movie category.
There were other winners in music, TV and other categories at the annual prize-giving event which took place at the USC Galen Center in Los Angeles. Jack Black hosted the show with musical performances by Black Eyed Peas and Snoop Dogg among others.
